SHADES & PETERS Reunited On Debut Album

Shades & Peters reunited on new album
They have been friends since childhood and started their first band together before they ventured out on different musical routes - now they have reunited on a new album.
The Danish Rock-pop Duo SHADES & PETERS are inspired by Classic Rock Acts like Bryan Adams, Bruce Springsteen and Rod Stewart but they also have a certain influence from the Nashville scene such as Keith Urban, Sugarland and Rascal Flatts who has left a lasting impression which shines through in their music.

Rene Shades and Martie Peters have been friends since childhood and started their first band together before they ventured out on different musical routes.
Martie has been lead singer of the Danish hard rock band Push and René is bass player in Pretty Maids and has been musical partner to Mike Tramp for several years.

But now they have teamed up for the first time in many years and ended right back where they started.
"It was the right thing to do at the right time", Peters says: "This Band is who we are and what we grew up on. It's probably the most honest record we could make at this time in our lives".

The debut album features a gathering of the duo's musical heroes:

Jim Cregan (guitar), Kevin Savigar (Keyboards), Jimmy Z (saxophone and harmonica), Tony Brock (Drums) - all from Rod Stewart's legendary band from the 70s and 80s.
Mickey Curry (drums) and Keith Scott (guitar) Bryan Adams' band.
Paul Bushnell (bass) from Sugarland, Faith Hill, Elton John, Miley Cyrus, etc. Paul Robinson (Drums) has played with Nina Simone, Rod Stewart and Van Morrison

Their first single and music video "Comin 'Around" is out in September and their album "Let The Record Spin" hits the streets in 22 countries in October.

EVERGREY Storm Back With 'Hymns For The Broken' Sept. 26

Artist:
Friday, September 26, 2014

News Feed
Yes it's true, one of the most original metal bands to come out of Sweden, EVERGREY, almost called it quits. It wasn't a decision vocalist/guitarist Tom S. Englund had spent hours or weeks brooding over, but as time passed following the band's ‘Glorious Collision’ album from 2011 he felt less and less inspired to continue. Perhaps it was the splintering of the band line-up in 2010 - which saw Henrik Danhage (guitars), Jonas Ekdahl (drums), and Jari Kainulainen (bass) leave on friendly terms - or maybe it was the business side of the music that had worn him down, but Englund had seriously considered throwing in the towel. Fate had other plans, however, and he found himself working alongside his former bandmates due to circumstances beyond his control. The end result of that unplanned collaboration, which was meant to be temporary, resulted in a re-energized Evergrey creating ‘Hymns For The Broken’, arguably the strongest album in the band's 16 year career.

"We needed a stand-in drummer for a few shows that had already been booked," Englund explains, "because Hannes (Van Dahl) had been offered the chance to join Sabaton, so I naturally called Jonas to see if he was available. We also needed a second guitarist, so I asked Henrik and he was fine with it. While we were doing those shows we realized that we were having a lot of fun with the music again."

"I'd say that the guys coming back saved Evergrey because I wasn't 100% set on doing an album," Englund admits. "And I'm amazed. The band sounds hungry, the album sounds awesome, and I can say there's not a weak song on it. I like it a lot, which is strange because usually I'm so tired of the music after working on an album for such a long time. Honestly, I've never felt I've been as close to the music as I am with ‘Hymns For The Broken’ because all the bits and pieces are in there. It's exactly what my vision for the album was. Usually you get about 80% of it right, but this is 100% what we wanted."

Evergrey treads familiar musical territory on ‘Hymns For The Broken’, but they most certainly haven't rehashed any of their previous eight albums. Their trademark elements of dark and light, rage and melancholy, and Englund's signature vocals are all intact, but there's a raw energy in Evergrey's new music that hasn't been heard in years, if ever.

"I think you can hear that the album is full of energy, full of life," says Englund. "It's definitely hungry, and it sounds different from any of the other releases we have. I'm not bashing our other albums at all; ‘Hymns For The Broken’ is just a different approach. I sang pretty much everything in writing mode, so the initial ideas were there from the beginning. We didn't try to go back and polish things up. Also, bass and drums were recorded together live in the studio, and we didn't stop until we had the take we wanted. We were after the spontaneity and I think you can hear it."

Producer Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe, Primal Fear) mixed ‘Hymns For The Broken’, whom Englund considers the best man for the job. According to him, Hansen knew instinctively what the band wanted to do with the new music. Working from the original demos, "he made the songs sound 100 times better."

Taking the cover art and song titles on ‘Hyms For The Broken’ at face value, it seems the thread woven through the album is tied to the concept of battle, war and revolution. Evergrey isn't making a political statement, however. Nothing could be further from the truth. ‘Hymns For The Broken’ is about the human struggle that has been so present on all of Evergrey's albums.

"For the last six years I've gone through a major transition, which has pushed me into corners where I've discovered things about myself that I didn't know existed," Englund reveals. "It's an album about finding out you're not the person you thought you were, which is something that can be scary and terrifying and rewarding. It's been one hell of a journey. I'm not saying that my journey has ended or that I have the answers to anything. I'm confident enough to stand here and do this again. I think we’ve used our music as a forum for people who feel the same way we do about things, to make people feel less alone in some way."

Swedish trio Freak Kitchen are back with Cooking with Pagans, their eight and most frantic album to date. The band has always been a tremendously respected live act and for the first time the energetic live vibe of Freak Kitchen has been captured in the studio. With influences stretching from AC/DC to classical South Indian music the three norsemen, lead by guitar virtuoso Mattias IA Eklundh, truly have a sound of their own.

Cooking with Pagans offer eleven intense original songs plus a sophisticated punk pop version of the 1936 hit Goody Goody like you never heard it before. Solid, inspired song writing (not to say playing) from start to finish.

Thanks to a hugely successful Kickstarter campaign, bringing in almost $150,000, a very ambitious animated video, directed by legendary artist (and author of Blacksad) Juanjo Guarnido to the track Freak of the Week is in pain staking production by a world class team of animators. The video will premiere at Comic Con in New York in October.

Freak Kitchen will tour the world from November and the better part of 2015 to support their new release.

LILLIAN AXE NEWS:

A message from Steve and Eric:

Hello everyone. Unfortunately in life there are moments where changes occur in people's lives that we all wish never occurred, but they do and we have to understand them and move on. I regret to inform everyone that Eric Morris is resigning from Lillian Axe. Below is his message to all of us. Eric is my brother first and a band mate second. He has been with me for many years and is one of the sweetest souls I have ever met. His journey in life is taking a different turn, and it is not allowing him to devote the time and energy needed to remain in Lillian Axe. He has handled this decision with the utmost of consideration and class, even though this was no easy task for him or us. He will still be involved behind the scenes with the organization, and I am sure he will have a lot of input as we move forward. Eric will be present at the Tippitina's show Saturday night and will play a few songs with us, as we welcome new bassist Chris Brown from Jackson, Ms. to the family. Chris has been a longtime fan and is an amazing talent in his own right. It will be bittersweet, but the beauty is that we are all still working together to continue to offer our music to the world in hopes of brightening the lives of those who listen. Thanks to you, Eric, for being my close friend and a vital part in the past and future of Lillian Axe. Here's to you. See you all on Saturday.

Steve Blaze
~~~~
To all of my friends, family and ultimately the fans of Lillian Axe,
It is with a very heavy heart that I have to announce my resignation as the bass player of Lillian Axe. I had such a great time and will always cherish the experiences I was able to be a part of from touring with Alice Cooper to actually getting on that plane to Europe and everything in between. I have met so many amazing people and have made some great new friendships over the years; I will always be proud to have met and talked with each and every one of you. It was your energy, cheers, and fists pumping in the night (and even sometimes in the day) that fueled me to put on the best show I could.
This was a very difficult decision for me to come to. I’ve recently had some life changing events that have made me rethink some of my personal priorities and responsibilities over this last year. Unfortunately, this meant that I had to get my own house in order before I could continue to expand my musical aspirations and I felt it wouldn’t be fair to limit the growth and further success of Lillian Axe due to my restricted availability.
Ken, Sam, Brian, Steve, Charlie, Alan, and everyone else who is or has been a part of this great organization knows I love them all and wish nothing but massive success. The professionalism and musicianship has been unparalleled and of course the friendship that we’ve developed over the years will never be broken. As much as I will miss sharing the stage with these guys, I will equally miss our time off the stage – bullshittin’ on the bus, shootin’ a game of pool with Sam (I’m horribly losing that tournament by the way), throwin’ back a few drinks, watchin’ Ken’s “antics” and wondering if he’ll “succeed”, listening to Steve and Brian go back and forth (you have to see it to really understand its entertainment value), and finally everyone just making this whole experience an enjoyable one. I’ve heard and personally witnessed the drama that goes on with other bands and I’m continuously grateful we’ve never had any real problems within our group.
Although I will not be on stage anymore, I will continue to work with Lillian Axe in some capacity behind the scenes and will support them in all of their endeavors. If I’m around, I’m sure I’ll join them on stage for a tune or two. I also plan in some way to be active musically in and around the New Orleans area, although very limited for the moment.
I will truly miss this experience, the stage, and of course the greatest, most loyal fans in the land! As saddened as I am, I know in my heart that this is something I have to do and is the right decision for me.
Cheers to you all,
Eric Morris
Jaded Heart represent top class melodic hard rock and have become a German rock institution since the band came into existence 22 years ago. Based in North Rhine-Westphalia, Jaded Heart have turned into a German-Swedish formation since 2005 with singer Johan Fahlberg and 2006 with guitarist Peter Oestros emphasizing the band’s international standing.
After their successful tour with Masterplan in 2013, presenting their first ever live album (LIVE IN COLOGNE), JADED HEART are now back with their 12th studio album “Fight The System” on which they present themselves as usual at their best. Heavy riffs and metal-oriented lyrics
Inner Wound Recordings are proud to announce the signing of the US progressive power metal band MindMaze to the label. Their new album "Back From The Edge" will be released on October 24st in Europe and October 28th in North America.
Despite nearly unanimous praise for the songwriting on their debut album "Mask of Lies", the band has strived harder than ever to craft amazing songs filled with first-class musicianship, memorable hooks, and powerful melodies and riffs. The new album sees the band moving further towards forging a strong identity rather than borrowing little bits and pieces from all over their map of influences.
Mike LePond [Symphony X] performs bass on all tracks on "Back From The Edge". The artwork was created by Carl-Andre Beckston [Seventh Wonder, Harem Scarem, Brazen Abbot]. Legendary Stratovarius keyboardist Jens Johansson lends an expectedly awesome solo and harmony to the progressively-tinged track "Moment of Flight".
"Back From The Edge" track listing:
01. Back from the Edge
02. Through the Open Door
03. Moment of Flight
04. Dreamwalker
BOB SEGER’s New Studio Album 'Ride Out' Released October 14 on Capitol Records
Bob Seger’s new studio album, Ride Out, will be released October 14 on Capitol Records
Produced by Seger, the new collection stays true to his legendary sound as he effortlessly marries rock, blues and country, yielding an album with all the hallmarks of the rocker’s deep catalog of hits.  Seger began teasing tracks from the album during his 2013 tour, including “Detroit Made,” “All of The Roads” and “California Stars.”
“I feel really good about this record,” says Seger.  “This album touches on how I think a lot of us feel about finding our place in a more complicated world – from how we appreciate things as simple and pure as love, to navigating through the corruption and violence that permeates the news.  It sums up a lot of feelings I have about a variety of subjects.”
Ride Out is Seger’s first studio album since his 2006 platinum-certified Face The Promise and follows his 2011 platinum-certified release, Ultimate Hits:  Rock and Roll Never Forgets
MR. BIG - The Stories We Could Tell (Pre-View)
Artist:
Friday, September 19, 2014
Categories:
News Feed
UPDATED: 4 or 5 listens in now and the album continues to grow and the tempo lifts as the melodies come to life. Some really good songs on here as usual.
Mr. Big, are back with their new album "The Stories We Could Tell". The band's eighth studio album is slated for release on September 19th in Europe and September 23rd in North America via Frontiers Music Srl.
Eric Martin says of the new Mr. Big: "This is the album that we threatened to make decades ago. A classic, grooving, blues-rock record with the spirit and spark of our rock and soul idols from the 70s..."
I gave Mr. Big's "What If..." 100%, so there's a lot of expectation here.
It always awesome to hear these guys play. The collective talent is unbelievable and Eric Martin has been a favourite of mine since the mid-80s.
This is a different sounding record from the outset. It’s big, loud, live and very retro 70s in places and very bluesy also. It will take a little time to get used to it.
Not an instant record by any means, but it rocks. Makes delivering a first impression harder to do accurately.
But after two full listens through at ear piercing volume – here’s my thoughts:
Track 1: Gotta Love The Ride - Bombastic intro, bluesy edge for sure. It’s a mid-up tempo rocker.
Different sound for the band here. Production definitely different than “What If”. Groove based rocker, nice guitar solo. Restrained chorus that gets better each listen. A cool track!
Track 2: I Forget To Breathe - Another up-tempo blues based rocker with a big groove. Billy's bass not nearly as prominent in mix as last album. Another pretty simple chorus....but it rocks and I like it. I'm hearing some "Get Over It" here. Great guitar solo.
Track 3: Fragile Thought it might have been a ballad at first, but bluesy 70s guitar kicks in and the tempo lifts. I like it a lot. A real Mr. Big sounding track. Fragile has the same type of vibe as "Undertow". A more familiar Mr. Big style bridge-to-chorus melody and a nice melodic vocal here. Best track of the first 3. A commercial single feel.
Track 4: Satisfied - Back to the 70s blues rock again. I'm a 80s guy, so not sure about this. Another pretty straight forward uptempo bluesy rocker. Satisfied has a one line, very melodic vocal bridge that hints at a big chorus, but it doesn't arrive. More straight forward groove based.
Track 5: The Man Who Has Everything - Its ballad time. This is a familiar MB acoustic driven ballad. Still carrying that 70s feel though. Big soulful vocal by Eric Martin - another possible single here I'd expect. Some orchestral backing also.
A big Billy bass flurry kicks off Track 6: The Monster In Me. Still got that bluesy 70s sound going. Mid-tempo, but heavy...Big guitar and bass tracks. Very different sounding record this so far. Unlike any Mr. Big album prior. Raw, live feel and very groove driven.
Track 7: What If I Were New - now the band is sounding like The Stones. Mmmm... Different approach with choruses this album too. Big harmonies here and a nice feel good chorus. Perfect Mr. Big style. Interesting chorus. Wouldn't call it catchy, but it's original and the choppy Paul Gilbert guitar work is cool. Big attitude.
Track 8: East/West - acoustic intro and first 30 seconds before band comes to life. Acoustic base, but electric also. A feel good song this and an early favourite.
Track 9: The Light Of Day - big groove, big guitars and bass, fast moving vocal, Eric in fine voice as ever.
Track 10: Just Let Your Heart Decide - ballad time again. Deep sultry vocal from Eric. VERY good chorus. Just like "What If", the second big ballad on the album is the better one. No Mr. Big fan is going to dislike this one.
Track 11: It's Always About That Girl - this is another mi-tempo 70s groover. Not as into this as earlier tracks.
Track 12: Cinderella Smile - Another slow/mid-tempo groove based track. Sorry, think I'm going to have to say I'm not into this one. Simple chorus, stop/start slow groove. Not my fav style. A bit of a jammer.
Last track! Track 13: The Stories We Could Tell - yep, another slow-mid-tempo 70s groover.
Interesting track, but not the most instant or catchy tune out there and similar to a couple of others on the album.
Good chorus, some nice bass fills from Billy and more classy playing from Paul.
It's a big, groovy, rocking album, but not the chorus heavy style of Mr. Big's most commercial tracks.
13 tracks, 2 ballads, a couple of traditional melodic “Mr. Big style” tunes and a whole stack of bluesy rockers with a retro vibe.
Not an instant album, but I’ve hit play straight away and are already through my second listen. Some more aspects definitely jumped out second time around.
The guy’s rock and the performances are there. Big love to the as yet unmentioned Pat Torpey who thumps away with his usual authority.
Be prepared for a different sound and a more retro groove based style.
I think this sounds like another great Mr. Big album, but it's going to have to appeal to people's individual tastes a little more than past albums.
The Japanese Special Edition release (cover pictured above) features a second audio disc and a DVD "making of".
The audio CD contains 10 tracks re-recorded by the band for this occasion.
Those tracks are:
01. To Be With You
02. Daddy, Brother, Lover, Little Boy (Electric Drill Song)
03. Green Tinted Sixties Mind
04. Take Cover
05. Just Take My Heart
06. Colorado Bulldog
07. Addicted To That Rush
08. The Whole World's Gonna Know
09. Rock & Roll Over
10. Out Of The Underground
The debut, self-titled album by RED ZONE RIDER (RZR) will be officially released by Magna Carta.
Consisting of world class guitar hero, Vinnie Moore; vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Kelly Keeling; and drummer, Scot Coogan, RZR plays rock'n'roll infected by a heavy blues-oriented backdrop.
Played by the newly emerging AOR radio of the early 1970's which featured bands such as  Led Zeppelin,
Deep Purple, Mountain, Grand Funk, the sound of this era is heard throughout RZR's album.
Dripping with attitude and swagger, two of the chief components of music from this time period, Red Zone Rider sounds like they could easily have been recording in London in 1972 with Eddie Kramer at the board.
Instead, RZR recorded the new album a year ago in Las Vegas with Mike Varney producing. In either scenario, Vinnie, Kelly and Scot have made an album that will span decades. Red Zone Rider is one of the finest musical combinations to have come forth in a long, long time.
SLASH
Strikes a Chord at Universal Studios Hollywood, Composing First-Ever Original Score
for Theme Park's Gripping New 'Halloween Horror Nights' Maze
'Clowns 3D Music by SLASH'
Universal City, CA, August 14, 2014 ' Celebrated Grammy' Award-winning musician, SLASH, hailed as one of the 10 best electric guitar players of all time by Time magazine, is joining forces with Universal Studios Hollywood to compose an original score for the theme park's hypnotizing new 3D maze, 'Clowns 3D Music by SLASH' at 'Halloween Horror Nights,' beginning Friday, September 19, 2014.
While partnering with top recording artists has become a signature of 'Halloween Horror Nights,' this collaboration with prolific guitarist, SLASH, marks the first time a musician has created an original maze score for the popular event.  This inspired effort comes at a demanding time for SLASH, whose new album 'World on Fire' debuts on September 16, 2014, on the heels of his 'Let Rock Rule' World Tour performing with Aerosmith.
Infused with the rocker's hell-raising electric guitar riffs, the ominous new 'Clowns 3D Music by SLASH' haunted attraction is no laughing matter as it unmasks the psychological disorder known as Coulrophobia, a disturbing condition affecting those with an extreme and irrational fear of clowns.
The psychedelic 3D maze will horrify guests, taunting and tempting them with terror and treats as they parade through 'Sweet Licks Frozen Clown Pops Family Amusement Center,' a dilapidated roadside attraction and one-time thriving ice cream factory run by deranged siblings and their mad clown father, Sweet Licks. As this demented trio schemes to restore the family business by luring visitors with free ice cream, guests will soon find themselves on the menu as the key ingredient of a sick new high-protein ice cream concoction.
'I'm a HUGE fan of 'Halloween Horror Nights' and was inspired to partner with Universal Studios Hollywood because they are the founders of creating extreme horror,' said SLASH.  'I've been composing music for as long as I can remember and jumped at the chance to be an integral part of this year's event and create the original score for this creepy clown maze.  I can't wait to see the fans' reactions and will be first in line to experience the maze myself.'
'It's an honor to collaborate with one of the most iconic rock legends around,' said John Murdy, Creative Director at Universal Studios Hollywood and Executive Producer of 'Halloween Horror Nights.'  'From the moment I heard SLASH's original composition for the maze, I immediately knew he got it, as the vibe and feel of his score are so right on. He captured the exact tone we were looking to convey to our guests, and it's great having SLASH be a part of this incredible event.'
SLASH has amassed album sales of over 100 million copies, garnered a GRAMMY Award and seven GRAMMY nominations and was inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. Time magazine named SLASH #2, behind Jimi Hendrix, on its 'The Ten Best Electric Guitar Players of All-Time' list. SLASH helped create signature sounds like the guitar riff on #1 hits for Guns N Roses 'Sweet Child o' Mine' and 'Welcome To The Jungle.' After leaving the band, SLASH went on to critical acclaim with SLASH's Snakepit and global success with the supergroup Velvet RevolverSLASH's self-titled biography critically well-received, climbed the bestseller list in both the U.S. and U.K. hitting #8 on the NY Times Bestsellers List. SLASH landed on the top of the charts with his first solo album, Slash (2010) which featured Ozzy Osbourne, Fergie and more. SLASH and his band featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators released the critically acclaimed Apocalyptic Love (2012) which stormed the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart at #4 as the top rock debut and produced his first-ever #1 rock radio solo hits: 'You're A Lie' and 'Standing In The Sun.' SLASH released Nothing Left To Fear (2013) the first-ever motion picture he co-produced from Slasher Films, his film/TV production company. SLASH and his band will release their new album WORLD ON FIRE September 16, 2014www.slashonline.com.
'Halloween Horror Nights' 2014 at Universal Studios Hollywood will be 'More Dead Than Ever,' as it brings together the sickest minds in horror to immerse guests in the living, breathing, three-dimensional world of the most notorious and terrifying creatures in existence. This year's event will feature a slate of all-new unrivaled film production quality mazes, terror-filled scare zones and a fully re-imagined 'Terror Tram' experience, uniquely themed to today's most definitive horror properties, including, 'The Walking Dead:  The End of the Line,' based on AMC's critically-acclaimed, Golden Globe'-nominated and Emmy' Award-winning television series; 'From Dusk Till Dawn,' inspired by Robert Rodriguez's cult film and El Rey network's TV series; 'Dracula Untold: Reign of Blood,' based on Universal Pictures' upcoming epic action-adventure; 'AVP:  Alien vs. Predator,' based on the Twentieth Century Fox film franchise; 'An American Werewolf in London,' based Universal Pictures' Academy Award'-winning and genre-defining film, written and directed by John Landis; 'Face Off:  In the Flesh,' based on Syfy's hit TV series, and 'The Purge: Anarchy,' a new scare zone inspired by Universal Pictures' blockbuster thriller.
The Band is:
Steve Bettney - vocals / Paul Bradder - keyboards / Paul Highfield - bass / Tris Alsbury - drums / Rob Bendelow - guitar / Simon Roberts - Guitar
Words & music: Rob Bendelow. Special guests: Richard Bendelow / Karensa Kerr.
Life long pals Richard Lowe and Rob Bendelow formed their first band 'Lammergier' during the mid 70's together with folk guitarist turned rock bassist Barry Yates. The name changed to 'SARACEN' in the early 80's, but the music remained the same; an ever growing repertoire of powerful guitar orientated rock, laced with lush keyboards and evocative vocals.
Escape Music have already presented you with the double CD Red Sky / Heroes, Saints and Fools (ESM124) which covers the band's early years. The conceptual CD 'Vox in Excelso' (ESM135) was released in 2006 to great acclaim and has earned the band more and more respect. In 2011 we were presented with the fantastic concept album 'Marilyn' which was based on the life and times of Marilyn Monroe.
However, shortly after the release of 'Marilyn', Paul Bradder and Steve Bettney challenged Rob Bendelow  to write a 'back to our roots' Saracen album. 'Redemption' is the result. A collection of 'signature' epic tracks, interspersed with heavy rockers and one beautiful ballad. It also includes complete re-works of two anthems from the 1981 debut album, 'Heroes, Saints and Fools' - namely - 'Crusader' and 'Ready To Fly'.
Track no.2 on the album - 'Reacher' - was inspired by Jack Reacher, the fictional creation of best-selling author Lee Child. Lee heard an early demo of the song and felt that it captured the spirit of his 18-novel, 1-film hero!. It certainly is a great song and rocks along at a fantastic pace. Maybe it will be used on a film score at some stage in the future.
Saracen have used the expert talents of Tommy Hansen of Jailhouse studios in Denmark, a man who is no stranger to rock music circles. His work is world famous and his expertise shines through on this exciting new album.
British Rock never sounded better.
UK ROckers LOVEBITE and Spectra Records Part Ways
(13 August 2014 - Birmingham, UK) Young British hard rock upstarts Lovebite have parted ways with the American label, Spectra Records, without releasing their debut album via the company, despite signing with them and delivering masters of their Lock N' Load album over a year ago.
"We were getting really frustrated with the whole situation and we weren't sure what to do," explains frontman, Jonny Sparks.  "We signed a management deal with a US based company called Head First Entertainment about three months ago and they looked at our record contract and started asking questions of the label.  We had our release date pushed back repeatedly for no good reason and we weren't getting valid answers." He goes on to explain,  "We were also required to pitch in quite a bit of money for a publicity campaign back in January and we really didn't see a lot of results from that.  And that was the beginning of the end, really."
The band's manager, Dave Tedder, chimes in: "Pushing back the album's release date so many times for the reasons I was given was bad enough, but when I saw the press report they sent, that was pretty much the final straw. Included in the report were outlets such as The Today Show, David Letterman, Saturday Night Live, Conan O'Brien and other TV shows that made no sense, as well as UK alternative magazines such as Q, Mojo and the like. We're talking about an upcoming glam rock band here, not a mainstream pop or indie rock act. Now, a lack in judgement is one thing but when I saw the magazines Sounds, RAW, Select and Vox on the list it quickly became obvious that part of the list was fabricated. None of those magazines exist anymore! Combing through the report and doing some research I found that they claim to have gotten "no" ("rejected") as a response from close to twenty publications that no longer exist and some of which stopped printing as far back as the 1970's.  I sent my concerns over, asked them to explain things and they sent an eMail to Jonny Sparks with a termination notice saying that I was harassing them. It's not harassment, it's looking out for the best interests of my clients. It's right there in black and white - Spectra Records screwed over Lovebite -  no if's and's or but's about it. I've asked them to prove me wrong and they just ignore that request."
Free of their contract now, Lovebite will have Lock N' Load available on iTunes in the next few weeks and physical copies of the album will be available on Amazon's various sites around the world. In the meantime, the band continues to write and demo songs for their sophomore release which should see the light of day sometime in 2015.
